Welcome to Maxamundo.

This iPhone/iPad/iPod application is a viewing tool for our main Website at www.maxamundo.com. It allows you to explore the World for Location Based Media and Information generated by a community of users. This information relates to many different topics, themes and areas of interest based around physical locations in the Real World.

The system is built on Channels, you can switch these Channels On and Off to reveal different types of Location Based Information and Media. You can display or hide different location Tag types inside a Channel to make the map clearer to understand and navigate.

Through our main website you can create your own Channel based around your own interest and themes. You can also search for the Channels created by others and request permission to Join their Channel, once accepted as a member you will be able to access the Channel through the mobile application.

This latest version of Maxamundo introduces the idea of Proximity Tagging, the idea that you have to go to a location to retrieve the media associated with any given Tag. This opens up a myriad of opportunities for Games, Treasure Hunts, and History Tours. When you access a Channel if a Tag is surrounded by a Green or Red Ring it is either Locked or Unlocked, depending on your proximity to it. If you get within 50 yards of any Locked Tag it will become Unlocked and you’ll be adle to access that Tags Media.
